12 Jun World premiere of the composition ‘When God Created Dubrovnik’ in London
On 24th June 2013, at the Drapers’ Hall, London, the world premiere of the composition When God Created Dubrovnik, a song for mezzo-soprano and string quartet, was held. The composition was performed at the opening ceremony of the City of London Festival, which commissioned the composition. The performers included Lore Lixenberg, the mezzo-soprano, and the Brodsky Quartet, with the entire concert being broadcast live by BBC 3. The composition When God created Dubrovnik was written to verses by Milan Milišić. This is the seventh composition by Isidora Žebeljan which is in the repertoire of the celebrated Brodsky Quartet.
